Unit cooling failed. Other systems still functioning, but not what we need. GE used to be a good appliance manufacturer. Not now. Terrible product(s), terrible service, and terrible administration of their ™warranty™. Be Smart; Avoid all GE products. Look to Mitsubishi or LG instead.

The unit itself is highly power efficient and works well, but the window screen is very cheaply built and there isn't nearly enough foam to insulate properly. All the cost goes to the ac unit and the extras are cheap. Wouldn't recommend running in a bedroom at night, as it's a bit too loud for a small space. Overall pleased

It was difficult connecting the exhaust hose to the vent, the hose keep falling off, doesn't get cold as I thought it would, I have a 5000btu mastercraft ac which put out more cold air than this GE portable air conditioner ð

Awesome product. Really works well and cold down my room. I sleep wth it on every night and always get a great night's rest and feels very comfortable. A+++. Would buy again.

It cools OK, not great, but ok. Recently has started making noise and I can't figure out the cause. I drained it, cleaned the filters, waited several hours before turning it back on and it still makes the noise. It was quiet before, now it is so loud I can't sleep.

Worked for one season, then the following year the cool mode wasn't available, the light doesn't even show up, tried everything we could think of, short of hiring someone, and unfortunately we missed the warranty deadline by a few days,

When the product worked it was great. The Autoswing door is a nice feature. But after 14 months. With only 2 -3 months of actual usage it does not produce cold air...

Just out of the 1 year warranty and of course it starts to have issues with no one in the area that wants to look at it. Problems with Control board and freeze up.

I™™ve had this unit for what is now our second summer.
Pros: fairly easy install, cools well, no emptying water (under normal conditions)
Cons: Loud, Bright blue display that cannot be toggled off for sleeping (dumbest thing GE ever did), lowest temperature setting it can be set to is 64.
Mind you, my room won™™t get cooler than 66 and the unit is well large enough for my square feet.
GE would have good products if they would take the time and consider what a person would actually desire out of their unit. The bright blue display that can™™t be turned off is enough for me to never buy one again!

Former home had central air conditioning, so if you are used to central air, you may not be satisfied. It does an adequate job of cooling a small room, however I find the ™dry™ feature is even cooler than the AC.

Love the GE Air conditioner, works perfectly. Only drawback is that the remote has NEVER worked. Didn't mind so much before I became disabled. I tried to purchase a new remote from GE, but remote never came. Capital One was able to get my money back though.

This unit is working great in our unusually high temperatures and instantly starts to cool the room when it's first turned on. We are very pleased. Extra panels would be nice for elongated windows, however - we had to improvise the installation to accommodate our window. Also, it would be nice if the vent tube was insulated to minimize the heat output.

Works like a charm and having a built in dehumidifier is a huge plus. The unit is also very sleek and modern looking which is a nice touch given it has to be out in the open.

Worked great for about two weeks, I think but it never tracked the temperature in the room as stated in the manual. Itcame with batteries I stalledin remote, which I found odd, Duracell of all things. However, after two weeks or so, stopped blowing cool air. Would blow air for about 5 minutes then quit. Checked water level, empty… no error codes, Just quit… I think someone sold us a bad one that was brought back as the batteries were a clear give away…very odd. Therefore, since never worked right from beginning with temp readings and since it quit working after about two weeks, I have to give it one star. It was very disappointing.

I purchased this product during the extreme summer of 2021 and units were scarce as a result. I have sliding windows so this type of A/C would install within an hour. It made a miserable summer very bearable for my dog and myself, I should have gotten one far sooner. It blows air with sufficient force that my ceiling fan spins slowly from the breeze. The air filter is just a rinse off type under a faucet. Very well thought out design. The size was adequate for making my home comfortable in the living room.
